Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing (Metal)
Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) supports the production of complex parts made with additive manufacturing (AM) that would be difficult to achieve using conventional methods. Additive manufacturing, or 3D printing, builds parts layer by layer from 3D CAD data rather than removing material like traditional machining. Techniques such as Selective Laser Melting, Electron Beam Melting, inkjet binder processes, and Laser Metal Deposition allow the creation of highly complex geometries that cannot be produced by other manufacturing methods.
